Aldridge Education
Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) is a member of the Aldridge Education family of schools, which locally also includes Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) and Adult Education Courses & Workshops in Brighton | Portslade
Aldridge Education is a charitable Trust of entrepreneurial community schools and colleges that help young people to reach their potential.
Our family of settings is united by a commitment to bringing learning to life and ensuring no one is left behind.
Each Aldridge setting is a cornerstone of its community, shaped by our shared values of engagement, inclusion and opportunity – supporting every learner to build a bright and ambitious future.
We believe education should be stimulating, enriching and enjoyable. Strong settings achieve this by creating environments where everyone can access high-quality learning, understand the relevance of their curriculum, feel safe and happy, and develop the confidence and skills they need for life beyond their Aldridge years.
A great education empowers people of all ages. It creates real choices for their futures and nurtures a lifelong love of learning. We are driven by widening opportunity, fostering a genuine sense of belonging, and creating experiences that encourage active engagement in personal development.
Today’s young people - and adults - need an education that prepares them to navigate a complex and rapidly changing world with agility, confidence and resilience. Our settings focus on building the skills, curiosity and independence – underpinned by the Aldridge Attributes and our Connect programme – that enable learners to create opportunities for themselves and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Our ambition is for every person that passes through our Aldridge doors to look forward with confidence – to turn what inspires them within their setting into a fulfilling career and a life of purpose and stability.
These beliefs shape everything we do and Aldridge Choice sits at the heart of our mission: ensuring that every learner, particularly those facing the greatest barriers, can access an education defined by engagement, inclusion and opportunity – empowering them for life beyond the classroom.

Aldridge Education was established as a national multi-academy trust by the Aldridge Foundation in 2016, taking over responsibility from the Foundation for its family of non-selective academy schools and colleges. Our shared belief is that by introducing young people to, and helping develop in them, the core attributes of entrepreneurship, we can provide context and relevance to their learning, fostering creativity, passion, determination, risk taking, problem solving and teamwork. These characteristics help our students achieve in their education and acquire further vital skills for adult life.
