Year 10
Year 10
Year 10 marks the beginning of Key Stage 4, when pupils start studying their GCSE subjects in preparation for their final assessments in Year 11. During Year 10, pupils also sit their first round of GCSE mock examinations, which take place in January and June.
Before each mock exam, pupils attend a pre‑exam briefing in the Hub. These briefings reinforce exam regulations and provide key subject‑specific information, delivered by the relevant Head of Department. This process helps pupils to become familiar with exam expectations and routines, providing valuable preparation for their final GCSE examinations in the summer of Year 11.
